Get to Grips with Oils - [4 DAY] workshop with Sarah Jane Brown
Have you have always wanted to try working with oils, but feel daunted?
This is a fun, 4 day intensive workshop will teach you everything you need to know about using these slippery but extremely satisfying paints!
With clear instruction, demonstrations and practical exercises, you will gain:
- an understanding of how 'Oil' behaves differently than other types of paint and how to control it.
- a range of oil painting techniques, including; staining, glazing, impasto, and sfumato (fine blending)
- the confidence you need to paint with this rich and rewarding medium and the knowledge to approach it fearlessly!
NB: Some painting experience is advisable for this workshop!

All materials and equipment are provided but if you have your own items you would particularly like to use, or a personal sketchbook/notebook, then feel free to bring them with you.
Come and enjoy a Painting Workshop with me in my spacious and well equipped studio in the heart of the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. All Materials and equipment are provided so all you need to do is turn up with a willingness to learn and have fun!
A complimentary light lunch and refreshments are available throughout each day.
SJB Fine Art Studio is located just a mile from Newgale Beach, close to the popular village of Solva and Britain's smallest City of St. Davids with its historic buildings and stunning scenery. There is plenty of local accommodation to suit every taste and budget.
