Printed Products

Most of our printed products are made-to-order and shipped direct to you.

Every order is manufactured according to your preferred specification; passes through a quality assurance process before being securely packed for domestic or International shipping.

- 100+ year colour guarantee

- Professional colour management

- 12-colour Giclée printers

- Museum quality process and materials

As a Fine Art Trade Guild approved printer our prints undergo annual testing by a UKAS-approved laboratory. Key
requirements for this quality standard are the lightfastness of a print, ensuring that it scores a value of 6 or more on the Blue Wool Scale in all areas.

We only use original and official UV (pigment based) inks ensuring each print faithfully reproduces the tone, temperature and colour of the original image. UV inks contain enhanced light stabilisers; offering far more durability than dye-based inks; protecting the vibrancy of your prints for over 100 years in ideal conditions.

Production times

Unframed prints are typically shipped within 2–3 working days; handmade canvas and framed prints are normally shipped within 5 working days.

Each order has an estimated delivery date, online tracking is available and email tracking notifications are sent when
your order ships.

Packaging standards

The printers use bespoke double-walled boxes so that prints arrive in an undamaged condition wherever they are shipped in the world.

All framed and canvas prints are wrapped in a protective sleeve with individual plastic guards added to each corner. Additional cardboard is secured over the print surface to minimise the risk of breakages or transit damage. Each print is then shipped in a heavy-duty cardboard box.

These packaging standards have been refined many times, over many years and it is now extremely rare for breakages or damage to occur. On those rare occasions when incidents do happen we strive to ensure that your collection and replacement are organised immediately and shipped back out on a priority service without any fuss.

Sustainability

You will find each of the sustainable properties associated with our product on the individual product pages. Below is a brief explanation of the associated terms.

Local fulfilment

By using a global network of print labs, we can where possible produce products closer to the end-recipient and thereby massively reduce the transport carbon emissions.

Eco inks

Water based inks offer an alternative to PVC inks that doesn’t contain all the toxic chemicals of its plastisol
counterparts. Instead it’s comprised of naturally occurring substances. No harmful solvents are required for clean up which reduces toxic waste.

Neo-Pigment inks (water-based) are 100% non-hazardous, toxin-free and completely vegan friendly. They meet the strictest industry standards as defined by Oeko-Tex 100 safety applications for infant wear, Global Organic Textiles (GTOTS-3V), Residues Standard List (RSL) and the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists.

Eco solvent inks come from ether extracts taken from refined mineral oil. While they still contain harmful solvents, they have a lower VOC content than normal solvent inks and are significantly less hazardous. We have minimised the use of solvent inks throughout our supply chain and ensure eco solvent inks are used when necessary.

Sustainably sourced wood and paper FSC approved

FSC-certified forests are managed with consideration for people, wildlife and the environment. They are independently audited to ensure they meet the FSC’s Principles and Criteria for Forest Management.

Check out the 10 FSC principles.

Other sustainable sources

Some of the print labs also source their pulp from sustainably managed forests. In this case, forests have not met all standards for FSC certification, but are being actively managed to promote sustainability.

Plastic free

These products do not contain any plastic.

Please note that this refers to the product ingredients and not the packaging. Packaging will vary depending on the product.

Organic

Organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment. Organic production systems replenish and maintain soil fertility, reduce the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilizers, and build biologically diverse agriculture.

Recycled content

The product contains a significant proportion of recycled material.
