Podcast interview 'Music and the Sea'

Podcast interview 'Music and the Sea'

Recorded for the Arts Active* ‘Braving The Stave’ series, this podcast primarily looks at how musical composers have represented the sea. I was recently interviewed by the lovely Dr Jonathan James for part of this episode and we had a warm and interesting conversation. We talked about the creative process, painting, music and the sea. We discussed the correlations between music and painting generally and in particular the similarities in creative approach between myself and the French composer Claude Debussy.

It’s now available on listen to on Apple Podcasts 'Music and the Sea' and BuzzSprout.

*The Arts Active Trust is a registered charity that supports education, community and audience engagement projects from St David’s Hall (The National Concert Hall of Wales) and the New Theatre (an Edwardian large scale presenting theatre in Cardiff).
