Alongside recent commission work, ideas have been taking shape for my solo show at Beecher's this summer. The gallery has asked me to include some local scenes, so I've been familiarising myself with the area and discovering elements of its landscape that interest me.
I'm enjoying finding different shapes and textures, and also common elements between Pembrokeshire and Herefordshire.
At the moment, it's mostly preparatory sketches, early thoughts, and base layers going down. It is that exploratory stage, when everything still feels open and full of possibility, and I'm excited to experiment with a different colour palette.
