The North Pembrokeshire Open Studios Art Trail is on NOW, and there's lots of lovely artists and makers ready to welcome you into their studios all across Pembrokeshire ...Including Mine!
September Open Studio
Come and enjoy an exhibition of coastal paintings and take a look behind the scenes of a busy working studio when I open my studio in September for the annual North Pembrokeshire Open Studios Art Trail.
Visitors are welcome from 31st August until 15th September, 10 am to 4 pm Tuesday to Sunday (closed Mondays), and by appointment at other times. Original works, prints and art gifts will be available for sale.
The studio is based at Brawdy Business Park, just off the A487 between Penycwm and Solva, and clearly signposted from the main road is easy to find. Free parking and toilets are available, and the studio is wheelchair friendly. Refreshments will be available. The studio is open by appointment if you would like to visit at another time; call 01437 623123 to arrange.
Free Painting Demonstration
On Saturday 7th September, there will be a live painting demonstration from 2 – 4 pm. Come and join me in the studio for some tips and techniques on coastal landscape painting, and a little taste of what to expect in my new online masterclasses. I hope to see you there!
I regularly run painting workshops from my studio and have started a new series of fun online masterclasses. Launched live online every few weeks these friendly and engaging masterclasses have tackled a variety of subjects including painting beach reflections, a sunlit sandy beach scene, coastal cliffs, mastering realistic clouds and the most recent masterclass, 'Paint a Spectacular Sunset' So book your class and join me! Photo references and materials lists are provided in a dedicated course area so you can watch and paint along in your own time.
Expect to gain insight from my years of painting experience and learn the secrets and techniques that have helped me to capture the essence of Pembrokeshire’s stunning coastal landscapes.
This year North Pembrokeshire Open Studios have produced a handy free booklet with details of all the participating artists (including myself) as well as a trail map so that you can navigate around this beautiful county of ours. You can pick them up from Tourist Info centres and lots of other venues around the county, including the participating artists studios (including mine of course)!
