I am pleased to share with you that I have been invited to show several paintings in an online exhibition called Square Foot Show from the 5th to the 7th of October.
Square Foot Show began life as a small annual art party in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, then, due to the pandemic, moved to an online space. It quickly became known as “The Black Friday of Art” and consistently brings thousands of new collectors across five continents to each show, with many artists selling out in minutes.
Square Foot Show takes place several times a year, and selected exhibitors get to submit 3 to 5 pieces of work to suit a particular theme, but each one must be sized 12” x 12” and priced at $300.
Square Foot Show’s vision is to build a thriving artistic community, raise the profile of artists, and introduce novice and experienced art collectors to emerging and established artists. The show goes live at exactly 8 pm EST, and often many artists sell out within the first few minutes of opening. The sale lasts until 8 pm on the third day, and there are always plenty of original pieces from which to choose. For each show, they run a giveaway from the show’s headline artist, selecting the winner from subscribers to their email list. Email list subscribers also receive a preview of the pieces 48 hours before showtime.
Always ready for a new challenge, I am working on several pieces ready for the show! Producing work to a particular size and theme always brings challenges, but I have many ideas. I am fortunate to live in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, where walking through the coastal landscape brings new experiences and inspiration to paint.
