2026 Dates for in-person workshops at the studio

Dates for in-person workshops this summer are now up on the website and available to book!

This year I've decided to do a 1-day (Fri) 'Easy Landscape Painting' workshop for beginners (or those who might need a refresher), followed immediately by a 2-day (Sat & Sun) 'Painting the Pembrokeshire Coast' workshop. This means that you can do either one or combine them for a 3-day experience. These combination sets repeat 4 times, so hopefully you'll find a weekend that suits you between now and mid-August.

In September, there is 'The Painters Voice' A 3 day workshop which is for artists with a bit more experience; ideal if you would like to uncover what it is that you want to 'say' in your paintings and develop that into a unique and personal style.

Finally, if you have always wanted to try working with oils but felt daunted, the Get to Grips with Oils course is for you.

This is a fun, 4-day intensive workshop that will teach you everything you need to know about these slippery but extremely satisfying paints!

With clear instruction, demonstrations and practical exercises, you'll learn...

an understanding of how 'Oil' behaves differently from other types of paint and how to control it.
a range of oil painting techniques, including; staining, glazing, impasto, and sfumato (fine blending)
the confidence you need to paint with this rich and rewarding medium and the knowledge to approach it fearlessly!

All workshops include materials and lunch. All you need is a willingness to learn and have fun.
