It's been a lovely time with family and friends over this festive period, and then my recent chat with podcast host Gareth Dauncey launched today! Perfect timing though if you're looking for some positivity to move forward into the New Year, especially if you're experiencing a bit of a slowdown after all the fun and excesses.
In the podcast he asks me 'How do you feel today?' and it opens up an interesting conversation where we talk about:
- feeling fine (meaning great)
- a long depression in my thirties
- learning to help myself
- imagining a positive future
- the power of being in the middle
- channelling feelings through marks
- creating structure with a deadline
- avoiding comparison
- remembering to be grateful
Gareth's podcast 'How do you feel today' gathers together conversations between two friends, conversations that you’re invited to overhear, conversations that might touch on things you’re going through...and could make life a little easier if they do. Mine is No 99 in the list, so there's a wealth of other wonderful conversations available to dip into online.
A little about Gareth Dauncey
Architect Gareth Dauncey learned to better manage his mental health by asking himself how he felt each and recording that feeling in colour. Over time, this allowed him to see the bigger picture and act on what he was seeing. He made changes that helped him to move on from a long period of depression and continued to help him take better care of his mental health. This lead to him creating an app called Mood to help others do the same, and a podcast called 'How do you feel today'.
