4 day painting workshop with Sarah Jane Brown
This fun 4 day intensive workshop using oil paints will teach you everything you need to know about using these slippery but extremely satisfying paints!
Duration: 4 day workshop
Time: 10am – 4.30pm (lunch 30mins starting at around 1pm)

Cost: £380 per person
With clear instruction, demonstrations and practical exercises, you will gain:
- an understanding of how ‘oil’ behaves differently than other types of paint and how to control it
- a range of oil painting techniques, including; staining, glazing, impasto, and sfumato (fine blending)
- the confidence you need to paint with this rich and rewarding medium and the knowledge to approach it fearlessly!
NB: Some painting experience is advisable for this workshop! ALSO… please note that we will be using low odour solvents and other solvent based materials during this workshop, if you have any health concerns or are unsure about anything please contact us for a chat before booking!

All materials and equipment are provided but if you have your own items you would particularly like to use, or a personal sketchbook/notebook, then feel free to bring them with you.

Come and enjoy a painting workshop with me in my spacious and well equipped studio in the heart of the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. All materials and equipment are provided so all you need to do is turn up with a willingness to learn and have fun!
A complimentary light lunch and refreshments are available throughout each day.
SJB Fine Art Studio is located just a mile from Newgale Beach, close to the popular village of Solva and Britain’s smallest city of St. Davids with its historic buildings and stunning scenery. There is plenty of local accommodation to suit every taste and budget.
