Weekly Evening Class - 6 Week Course - Tuesday Evenings 6 to 8.00/8.30pm

£225 per person (for the whole 6 week course including all materials and refreshments)
Relaxed and sociable weekly evening sessions that will run over a 6 week 'term' to help you improve your painting whatever your starting point!
You will gain a range of painting skills, an understanding of different materials, techniques and concepts, and build confidence with your own paintings.
Clear instruction with demos, along with practical exercises and learning through experimentation using acrylics or mixed media.
NB: Suitable for adults of all ability. All that's needed is a willingness to learn and have fun!

Course Outline
Arrive at 5.45pm for coffee and chat
6pm Start (Tues evenings)

- Introduction to the week's theme / topic
- Short demonstration
- Painting exercise
- Group discussion

- Tonal structure. The most critical element for successful paintings
- Using colour effectively
- Composition and design elements
- Layering and texture
- The importance of edges
- Evaluating your own work so you can improve
- Loosening up
- Finding your style
- (And other topics that may arise depending on the groups needs!)
All the basic materials and equipment are provided but if you have your own items you would particularly like to use, and / or a personal sketchbook, then feel free to bring them with you.
Complimentary tea and coffee available throughout each session.
Come and enjoy weekly painting sessions with me in my spacious and well equipped studio. All materials and equipment are provided, so all you need to do is turn up with a willingness to learn and have fun!
