Loosen up your Landscapes! - 3 Day Workshop

This workshop will focus on simplifying elements of the landscape to enable individual interpretation and self expression. Ideal for representational painters who would like to loosen up their painting and venture towards more abstract work.

We will begin by going out into the landscape to gather reference material, ie making sketches/studies (en plein air), taking photos and collecting other found materials. Back in the studio we'll discuss ways of using these source materials creatively. You will also receive prompts to get you thinking differently about the subject and your entire approach to painting.

Working simultaneously on multiple paintings, we will build up a body of work that will give you practical ways to transform your landscape paintings and set you on the path to further developing your paintings in your own unique style.

NB: Moderate painting experience is needed for this workshop, not for complete beginners. If you are unsure about this please contact us to arrange a chat!
