Painting ‘en plein air’

by | Jun 29, 2022 | News

I had an utterly fab day out painting on the coast path recently with my artist buddy Bron and Bob (the dog).

We nearly got blown away; hanging on to sketchbooks and paint was a challenge. Despite that, we emerged looking relatively clean, apart from Bron’s coat that got dragged through cadmium yellow paint, and maybe a few grass stains from hysterically sliding down the grassy banks on ikea bags! …childish, but it had to be done!

Here is the quick acrylic study I did ‘en plein air’. It’s no masterpiece, but it turned out fairly well considering the windy conditions and all the laughter!
