I have worked on these boat trips around Ramsey Island in Pembrokeshire as occasional crew for over 25 years, so this is where my deep understanding of, and affinity with, the sea comes from.
I hope from these short videos and photos you will start to see how these experiences form the core of my painting practise. I try to keep all the sensations of light, colour and movement in my ‘mental sketchbook’ for later use in the studio…
