Last year I produced a feature for Art & Framing Today magazine, which ended up being published in the October 2020 issue. It’s always so exciting to flip open a magazine, and find your work amongst the pages!
The feature shares my story of testing out a new easel that I had just received all the way from the US, and those first plein air studies that I took on a cold and stormy January afternoon. Together with photographs for each stage, this how-to feature reveals how I use plein air studies and location sketches to eventually produce a final piece of work back in the studio.

This year I am hoping to announce a schedule of workshops and courses, and I can’t wait to share tips and techniques with students in my new studio space. If you’re interested in learning to paint, want to improve existing techniques or simply want to find out more, then do subscribe to my newsletter to receive updates and latest news.
